Our race tyre team are all very experienced and highly trained, and are unique in having experience of motorsport from the competitors’ perspective. Our MD raced himself for many years from FF1600 through F2, World Endurance Championship inc Le Mans & IMSA and BTCC, and our team also includes staff with extensive race car and race tyre engineering skills. We are all true motorsport enthusiasts!

In addition to supplying, fitting and balancing race tyres at the trackside and at our Birmingham base, we can dispatch tyres on carrier, and also provide a full wet / intermediate / historic tread cutting service; we can also "buff" moulded tyres down to a racing tread depth.

BMTR was instrumental in the design and introduction of Avon Tyres Motorsport F1 radial tyres built specifically for BOSS Formula, the sensational 6 wheel Tyrrell F1 car was able to race again thanks to BMTR & AVON recreating the special 10 inch front tyres for the car, and the last 26 consecutive MSA Hillclimb Championships have been won on AVON tyres supplied and serviced by BMTR. Many other new sizes and compounds of hillclimb, circuit and historic race & rally tyres have been developed on the back of our commitment to motorsport.
